Prayer Letter

In Christ, Family's Peace

The Russian invasion of Ukraine shattered the normal lives of countless people overnight, and millions of refugees fled their homeland to Poland. Meeting the essential needs of these refugees became an urgent task. Through fellow believers in Christ, we learned that in Kutno, Poland, a missionary from Hong Kong, Zhong Qiaomei, and her church were taking in refugees. On March 10, 2022, with a heart of learning and visitation, and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we drove from Warsaw to the small town of Kutno. We were somewhat skeptical: Who is Zhong Qiaomei? Where is she from? Why is she in such a small town like Kutno?

Zhong Qiaomei and her husband, Dai Yile, warmly welcomed our visit, and through the following conversation, they gradually answered our questions. Zhong Qiaomei is from Hong Kong’s World Gospel Movement[https://www.omhk.org/], and has preached the gospel in many countries, including Pakistan, Egypt, and Poland. Several years ago, she and her husband returned to her hometown to serve at the church in Kutno. What amazed me the most was that she had also traveled with the Gospel Ship to various parts of the world to spread the gospel [https://www.omhk.org/visit/].

Zhong Qiaomei introduced us to her church and their work since the outbreak of the war.

After being introduced by Sister Zhong Qiaomei, we learned the following:

  1. She hopes to make this place a temporary home and is looking for families willing to accept refugees, so there is space to accommodate new refugees.

  2. Through media coverage [https://www.bbc.com/zhongwen/simp/chinese-news-60722605], the local mayor has also visited and offered economic and resource support.

  3. Since the outbreak of the invasion, her church has hosted over 90 adults and 100+ minors.

  4. The Polish government is assisting in finding families to accept refugees.

  5. The church has received some donated supplies, but there are still gaps and ongoing needs.

Accompanied by Sister Zhong Qiaomei, we went to a nearby supermarket to purchase some supplies to help meet her daily needs.

We ask for your prayers:

  1. Pray for Sister Zhong Qiaomei and the needs of her church ministry.

  2. Pray for those still living under the fire of war.

  3. Pray for the Ukrainian refugees who have fled their homes and arrived in foreign lands, and for those who have lost loved ones.

  4. Pray for those in our country who are lost and confused.

In Christ:Huang Aimin, Xiya, Liu Haoling
